Pokémon Petrolheads RS
Chapter 17: Bayshore Soarers
Twisting into the Tatsumi Junction, Wataru Kondo tried to drift his Skyline, but he’s nearly crashed into the walls. However, thanks to his superior rallying technique, he avoided, and entered the Bayshore Route without any dents. He takes his new Skyline to the realm of the top speed.
The three Rattata street racers, Ryo, Kensuke and Haru, is now at around 300km/h in their old 550hp Toyota Corollas. They shuttle through the trucks, cars and vans. They shuttle with the slipstreaming technique, trying to hover the route over 300km/h. But the Skyline is coming near…
“What? The Skyline is coming? I thought he was gone.” Haru thought.
“We must perform blocks. We’re fast.” Ryo said.
“Correct. Let’s go!” Kensuke said.
The three Toyota Corollas performed the parallel line, one on each lane. These lightweight Toyota Corollas continues their slipstream, but the gap between them and the Skyline is going shorter.
At 350km/h, Wataru is nearing behind Ryo and Haru, trying to overtake. He switched off the lamps.
The three Rattata racers looked at behind. Ryo commented “What the hell?”
As the Skyline passes through them, Kensuke looked at the blue car, and say “Oh my god… Never seen a fast Skyline in these years? No, I don’t care.”
The Eevee driver switched on the lamps, and goes straight. Wataru thought “Wonder if these stupid idiots… Power and strategy is factor. Light cars are also hard to handle. No one is ever going to use these old cars. Even R34s are crushed in junkyards due to strict vehicle inspection rules.”
The three Corollas were left behind. Ryo and Haru shouted “What the hell?”
Ryo and Haru’s Corolla spinned out, ended up crashing the bumpers on barriers. Kensuke slowed down, stopped, left the Corolla, and running onto the location where Ryo and Haru crashed.
“What are you doing there? It’s not funny. Your car have wrong aerodynamics. This cause a mess. How can I pay a lot for these cars? It’s expensive overall, counting vehicle inspection. Who pays?” Kensuke asked.
“It’s his fault. He’s too fast.” Ryo mentioned the Skyline driver.
“Not that guy? Where did you know it?” Haru asked.
“Stop cheating, bastard!!!” Kensuke scolded.
Going into the straight line of the Bayshore Route, Wataru’s Skyline moves smoothly, without any resistances.
“They must pay very high taxes for those old Corollas.” Wataru uttered. He then left the Bayshore Route. The Skyline then goes back to Tochigi Prefecture.

It was a sightly cold day in Tochigi Prefecture. There are not many street racers lined up at Nikko Circuit. A blue GT-R and a blue Skyline was placed at Wataru’s home. The Eevee with blue-and-red neckerchief was fell asleep.
A brown Infiniti G37 Cabriolet was parked ahead of two blue Nissans. The female Eevee got out of her car, and called out the male Eevee who is asleep.
“Wataru-kun!!! Wataru-kun!!!”
Sakura Korogi yelled, and Wataru Kondo finally woke up. He found out that his potential crush was calling at him. A slight mess on fur, the male Eevee looked at the female Eevee before he cleaning up himself.
“Konnichiwa, Wataru-kun! I’ve invited you to a meeting. Do you want to go?” Sakura smiled.
“Oh yeah. What is that?” Wataru blushed.
“It’s a meetup for the Nissan Skyline owners. There, you cannot use R35 but you can use V37.”
“Yeah. I’m going to take this! Please wait as I’m going to keep up.” Wataru replied before he gets prepared.
“I’m waiting for you.” Sakura replied.
After a while, Wataru comes out, and Sakura gets in her V36 convertible.
“Exactly, we’re going to the Nissan factory. Right?” Wataru asked.
“You’re right. You got a point.” Sakura added.
He then takes his V37 Skyline, going to a location nearby Nissan Motors Tochigi Factory. The two Skylines then rolling the tires on the roads.
Arriving at that location, they meet some friends who are also Skyline owners. One of them is Yujiro Yamamoto, who owns an R34 Skyline GT-R, and was defeated by Wataru not long ago.
“Yujiro-sama.”
“Wataru-kun!”
“It’s been quite a while! I’m also get invited to the meeting.”
“Cool! How’re you today? It’s an amazing cold day!”
“Woot! I’m fine! You?”
“Fine. There are some cool Skylines. Have a look.”
“Okay.”
Wataru, Sakura and Yujiro looked at many Skylines, many of them are newer ones, like the V-series (V35, V36, V37). There are also some old classics from first ten generations, too.
“Due to strict Shaken issues, many of these old cars are hard to find nowadays. So, you need to keep your R34 at a very good condition.”
“Thanks! May I lend your V37?” Yujiro asked.
“Okay. I have an R35 at home.” Wataru added.
“Okay. I will drive after the meeting was ended.” Yujiro added.
“Thanks.” Wataru replied.
The three Eevee continued having a view at the event.
In the afternoon, Yujiro agreed with Wataru, and taking the V37, he will be back at night. Wataru then also take the R35 GT-R out for the lunch.
At night in Bayshore Route, the McLaren P1 is now driving, and the rear spoiler has risen. Mitsurugi Takaba takes the orange machine at full speed, and trying to blaze through the expressway. Mitsuhashi Matsuda was driving his yellow Lexus LFA, too, on the same route.
“Hmmm? Isn’t that Mitsurugi? He’s coming so fast.” The Minun uttered.
As the P1 has passed the LFA, Mitsuhashi starts chasing it.
“An LFA? It’s familiar for me?” The Raichu uttered.
The LFA, despite a 100hp disadvantage, is able to stick behind the P1. Before they start chasing, the two were already arrived at Daikoku Junction.
At Daikoku Futo, the Raichu and the Minun are having a look. The two then are having a discussion.
“Mitsurugi-san!”
“How’re you, Mitsuhashi-kun?”
“I’m good. I have planned visiting France for somehow.”
“France? It’s a good place. I’ve visited there long ago.”
“Hmmm… Le Mans? Paris? I wanna go there.”
“Everywhere in France. There are some nice places to visit.”
“Hmmm… Yeah. Okay. I will.” Mitsuhashi ended the talk.
The black Honda HSV-010 was coming. The black car then parked.
“Daiki?”
The Buneary was getting out of his car, trying to challenge the Minun.
“Hehehe… Do you want to race?”
“Oh yeah. Before I leave Japan, this is my final race.”
“Okay. Do you want?”
“Yes, let’s start!”
“I go first!”
Daiki then get into his Honda, and Mitsuhashi in his Lexus as well. The two car then left the area, with Mitsurugi looking at the smoking tyres.
