Pokémon Petrolheads: Explorers of Grand Prix
Chapter 3: One On Three, the Expressway Race

Sliding through the Nurburgring curve, Mitsuhashi slides his Lexus again into the 180 curve, trying to achieve the longest drift as well as possible. The engine is still on red line, and the weight transfer was balanced. So, even with slightest possibility, the Minun can drift at a very long time range.

After a long drift, Mitsuhashi dashes directly onto the straight line, pushing his car to the max on its third gear, before reaching the Imola turn.

“I must get this as fast as possible!” Mitsuhashi commented.

Since there are no competitors on tracks, it could be time attack, drift trial, hot lap or something else. But Mitsuhashi isn’t doing any of these either.

Reaching the Imola curve, Mitsuhashi goes into a three-way drift, sliding the tires on this S-curve section, and drifting into the Chateau d’eau section. An unusual chain reaction, Mitsuhashi does this for taking the longest drift as well.

A long slide, the LFA was also tuned for balance for everywhere. It’s not just a supercar for any means, but as an everyday race machine. The car can even perform drifts on the sharpest corners.

Exiting from the Chateau d’eau section, Mitsuhashi dashes his car on the straight, trying to achieve the fastest lap as well as possible before entering the Lycee Complex.

As the car reaches the Lycee Complex, Mitsuhashi starts drifting again, and the white smoke can be seen there. Sliding through the four tricky curves, Mitsuhashi tried to correct the steering. It was ultimately successful, and the grip has been caught.

After the four consecutive turns, Mitsuhashi crosses the finish line in one-and-a-half minute. He then performed the 180.

James looked at the LFA who crossed the finish line, and comes onto the car. Mitsuhashi opened the doors, and talked with James.

“Booyah! How did you go? I see you’re pretty fast there.” James spoke.
“Heh. It’s a challengine track. Especially the last four turns that is pretty hard among foreigners.”
“Yeah? I see. Locals haven’t any big problems with this track.”
“Plus, this French track is less well-known than the one in Le Mans.”
“I know that. Well, there are some rumours that the street racers are gathering around Le Mans each month. Isn’t?”
“Yep. I am considering this in the future.” Mitsuhashi added.
“Oh well. Sure, it’s near night now. Let’s go back.” James added.
“Okay.” Mitsuhashi goes back to his driver seat. James also gets in his passenger seat on the left-side, which he thinks as the reverse one. The two then go back to Paris through a long journey.

5 February 2016

A group of three street racers, consisting of The Elemental Monkeys, are driving their flamboyant European classic cars on the highways of France. They drive a red Renault 5 Turbo, a blue Alpine A310 and a green Jaguar E-Type. They can challenge many of 300km/h antics on the French highways.

Their name? Derrel Brunsche, Aliane Forger and Sammy Brunnett. A Pansage, a Pansear and a Panpour, respectively. They are one of the notorious street racing teams in France. Their team name? The Lucky Trio, also known as “The Shenanigans of French Highways”.

In Paris, Mitsuhashi was enjoying his dinner, and he looked at the three cars. Yes, three cars. The three parked opposite his Lexus LFA. The three monkeys glimpsed at the foreign car.

“Whoa, such a tuned exotic! Never seen such car!” Sammy commented.
“It’s rare to see a tuned exotic anywhere. I know that.” Derrel replied to Sammy.
“Who owns this?” Aliane added.

Looking at the three guys glimpsing his car, Mitsuhashi called out, and approaching on his car.

“Forget to introduce myself. I am Mitsuhashi Matsuda, from Japan.” The Minun introduced himself.
“Japan? Such a nice country like us. By the way, my name is Aliane Forger.” The Pansear introduced himself.
“I am Derrel Brunsche.” The Pansage introduced himself as well.
“I am Sam. Sammy Brunnett.” The Panpour introduced at last. “How are you today?”
“Fine. Just enjoying my dinner for a while.” Mitsuhashi added.
“Oh. Aren’t you a famous person there?” Sammy asked.
“Hah. I’ve been notorious for some time. It’s time to leap into the international racing scene. Yeah? Wanna try?” Mitsuhashi replied.
“You want me to try driving your car?” Derrel asked
“No. Just try if who's faster.” Mitsuhashi replied.
“Well, I can give a try.” Aliane added.
“Agreed.” Mitsuhashi replied.
“Let’s go, buddy.” Derrel said before going to a desired starting point.

The three Elemental Monkeys are going back to their cars, and leaving as well. Mitsuhashi followed later, in his Lexus LFA. The four cars drive slowly, at 54mph. Driving through the streets, they come out.

“Well, let’s go to Lyon.” Sammy said to Derrel.
“Okay, we will start upon exiting Paris.” Derrel replied.
“Let’s go!” Aliane added, before going on a rolling start.

Rolling start in Evry Essonne, the three Monkeys started their race, at 100mph. Mitsuhashi, on other hand, drives constantly at 60mph, until he has a chance. For an overpowered car, the handicap may be too big, but Mitsuhashi won’t resist.

Ten minutes later, Mitsuhashi started his pedal to the medal, and pushed his Lexus LFA to 200mph. While the Monkeys are now at Nemours, the Minun started through Fontainebleau. Riding his car now at 210mph, Mitsuhashi can overtake the traffic as well as possible, in a Mille Miglia fashion.

“Guess I can close the gap now.” Mitsuhashi laughs.

Meanwhile, the three Monkeys are now at Courternav Loitret, at 200mph. Incredibly fast, the gang overtakes the traffic, reminiscent of Mille Miglia races. Or expressway racing as it’s known in Japan. These three are also overtaking themselves, in a team.

“Well, the LFA is still behind. We can continue cruising.” Aliane said.
“Heh. Not sure if he’s coming. The car would be a Veyron killer.” Derrel said.

The three cars are still cruising at 200mph, providing their chance for Mitsuhashi’s LFA to cut down the gap. Mitsuhashi, while reaching Courternav Loitret, is now at 230mph. An incredible speed, Mitsuhashi could close the gap before finishing the race.

Chapter 2: Unbelievable Guest
It was a day after the new year, but the noise didn’t stop over the Le Mans. Plenty of cars arriving on the famed circuit, and Mitsuhashi glimpsed at some machines.
“A Renault Megane RS… A Peugeot 308… A Citroen DS4… A Ford Focus… A BMW 135i…”
Mitsuhashi looked at these flashy, Christmas tree-like European hot hatches, and impressed. The street racers lined up at the starting grid, in a Fast and Furious-style. He then proceeds to the location.
The Minun is dead serious in looking for those 'fools' in their European machines. He sets his lights to low and slowly approached the flickering light.
There were people dancing and talking; getting drunk with beer, hogging all over 'hot' women and banging their heads to the beats coming out of their cars' trunks. Beat music everywhere.
As the LFA comes closer, the music stopped. The lights stopped flickering on and off

Chapter 4: Leon at Lyon
Some minutes later is Joux-la-Ville, Mitsuhashi is now half a kilometer behind the monkeys. On the three monkeys’ positions, Derrel’s E-Type is in ahead, with Sammy’s A310 following behind. Aliane’s Renault 5 is behind the two.
As the race continues, the three begins to lose speed, and now at 180mph. Mitsuhashi however is now at 240mph. The gap is closing. The LFA is readying to overtake.
Mitsuhashi is approaching slowly, at a very-fast speeds. He is approaching the three highway shenanigans.
“Who the hell???” Aliane feels worried about getting overtaken.
“Quickly! He’s overtaking!” Derrel said to Aliane.
“Come on!” Sammy added.
The three cars are going to be overtaken…
At Poully-en-Auxois, Mitsuhashi overtook smoothly on the three cars, and takes over the lead. The three monkeys were surprised.
“Whoa. Never know that LFA was fabulously
